'to B ensemble' presents to you our 1st full-length album, entitled 'to B ensemble'.
In the beginning, there were times we couldn't speak to each other. One evening we discovered it was much easier to “sing” the truth to each other than to say it. On that evening the creational floodgates opened and ‘to B ensemble’- and Soul Singing - were born.
Technical gimmickry and manipulation are non-existent on this project. We call this recording approach "anti-tech". No pitch correction, no bass, frequently not even headphones on while tracking.
Very sparse instrumentation frames Vera's unforgettable voice, embellished by Jon's vocal harmonies. A collaboration and vocal blend heaven sent. Marlon's artistry and sensibility were also a perfect match for this record.
It was many years in the making, and many years in the releasing. Born of deep struggle and revelation, may this music bring you peace, harmony and a quiet sense of joy.
It's source is timeless, it's core is love and we are happy, and grateful, to have this opportunity to share it with you.
